  • @dsgamecube No homie, people went back to XP because vista was a resource hog and had more problems then it should had. Yes it was fancy and looked amazing but sucked balls in any avg pc. Sound like a mac user? been building windows base pcs for 13 years now. Talking about research i had to school you on the whole PC1 vs PC2, had to explain why macs are not over priced and remind you that Centrino was a processor, maybe you need to stop buying cheap ass pcs and claiming to know shit about them.

  • @Randomkaoz People were going back to XP because they didn't want to buy new hardware even though it had been 6 years. I got a Vista machine at launch and couldn't be happier. If you are going to make statements, research them first if they are objective, otherwise you sound like a Mac user.

  • @dsgamecube obviously i wasn't talking about the 980x last time i checked about the 6 core chip they were going to name it the i9. They can call it low-end but by now how many times are you going to use that. So hence trying to pass it off as a high-end because their in laptops. Oh yeah vista was the best sure... no it was the best ever made that's why everyone was going back to XP with a heart beat before windows 7 was even thought of. Stop reading the labels on things please.

  • @Randomkaoz obviously i wasn't talking about the 980x last time i heard of the 6 core processor it was going to be called the i9.

  • @Randomkaoz The i7 980X is a 6-core chip. Intel isn't going to call their processor a POS, but they can still call it low-end, inexpensive, economical, etc. Vista was the best OS until 7 came out.

  • @dsgamecube No being slightly off is saying something like well the i7 is a 6 core chip, when its a 4 core chip. Saying that the Centrino isn't a processor is being completely wrong. Like saying the sky is always silver.

Centrino like the Celron is a low-end low budget processor nothing more.

Just because intel is saying its a high-end doesn't make it so. Microsoft claimed that windows vista was going to be the best OS ever. Of course intel wouldn't say here buy this piece of shit we made.

  • @Randomkaoz

"speak for yourself" does not apply to facts.I was slightly off, Centrino 2 is a processor standard, not a package deal standard, and it is high-end.

    intel(dot)com/products/centrino/

  • @dsgamecube lol speak for yourself my man, Centrino 2 is a processor. It's a low budget processor like the i3 is for that family 1136 chip set.

Just like the celron was for the 487 and 775.

PC1 is faster then PC2, just goes to show you that you don't know as much as you think you do. Its ok, you don't have to try and science it. You just so the pretty numbers and guessed that PC2 would be more powerful. So now i understand why you think macs are expensive vs a ATX brand name machine.

  • So long as both computers are functional, PC 2 is inherently faster. You cannot, with a compatible motherboard, bottleneck PC 2 to the point where it is slower than PC 1, and the possible difference in PSUs is negligible because of the tiny price difference. If one or both computers is inoperable, the point is moot anyway. Besides, I'm still wondering whether I want to debate PCs with someone who thinks Centrino 2 is a processor.

  • @dsgamecube I don't use Snow leopard, i use old OSX and windows a mod 64bit XP which allows me to run most windows vista features without the BS.

Aero peek and snap?? come on man, next thing your gonna tell me is the usefulness have having aero shake and the 3d cube. The only feature i'm interested in 7 is the improvement in hardware access vs vista. Which is a SP firmware, nothing else. That's like when micro made windows 2000 then XP like if it was completely different, like 95 to 98
