i have owned a 944s2 cabriolet, 1990 a boxster 2001 and now a 911 (996 C4S) cabriolet. i am a porsche enthusiast, they are all excellent cars and all porsches without exception. people who bang on about 911's all the time annoy me. sure the 911 is great, but so are the other models. its pure snobbery to try and say that other models are inferior and anyone who does clearly has never owned or driven one. :0)

Boring video, awesome cars. I owned a 944 S2 Coupe, '89 model year - highly recommended. Or a Turbo, of course. I'm just not into Cabrios.

@SunKing968 mmmm unfortunately I have to disagree..... as i said above I have owned a boxster, 944 and I currently have a 911 (996 c4s cabriolet) the 996 is by far the best build quality interior is trimmed to a higher standard than the boxster was, the handling on the 911 is superb, you dont lose the rear end as it has PSM. and the power & grip is awsome, having 100bhp more than my 2.7 boxster did plus it has the turbo suspension, wide arches, bumpers brakes and wheels as standard. :0)

What most people don't understand is that the bulbous 911 frogmobile is an inferior Porsche- not only because it is ugly but also because it has terrible weight distribution and is an idiotic anachronism kept alive by status-worshipping morons who don't know anything about driving and spit upon truly great driver's cars like the Boxster S and 968 Club Sport. Interestingly, the 911 frogmobile isn't even light and agile anymore in 997 guise etc. I dream of 951....

I've got a '91 S2 cabriolet in black and I love it. It's been driving for 325,000km (202,000 miles) with the first motor, driveshaft and gearbox. I live in Germany and love to hit the Autobahn at 150 mph if it's clear... The car needs that. It loves to sneak up on big Mercedes that block the left lane ;D

@loquat15 actually the s2 is a great car if you dont wanna mod it, and leave the car the way porsche intended it. The 16 valve 3.0 litre is much more reliable and easy to maintain in comparison to your 951. with a 0-60 time of 6.1 its not far off either. there both magnificent cars, but i will agree the cabrio is hideous! coupe al the way

While the 944 Turbo is one of my favorite cars to drive I could not ever deny the opportunity to own a 911 of the likes of the classic 2.7 Carrera RS or any of the 993 's really. Although I have not driven a 2.7 RS I can only imagine the feeling of what it is like to drive it ... I can dream can't I?
