right on! as pro musicians, we're in this to make money. people crying "sellout" don't know shit about business or how things work in the real world. licensing music for use in commercials and films is advertising; you get paid for the use, and it brings more fans to shows, maybe even a distribution deal if you're unsigned.

I see what you mean, but I play in bands (two, which are both active traveling bands that have been around a while) and I don't make a living because there isn't any money coming from the fans. They are all downloading our music. I would LOVE to be able to live from my music, so if I was offered an offer to have my music in a movie, you BET YOUR ASS I would take that offer. It is very easy for selfish fans to call them sell outs. I would like to see them working two jobs and touring just to live
