Police officers march past Police Headquarters, Brisbane as part of National Police Remembrance Day, honouring officers killed in the line of duty. The parade continued to the Albert Street Uniting Church, where a memorial service was held.
Leading the parade were the Queensland Police Service Pipes and Drums, followed by the Mounted Police, the Dog Squad, uniformed officers and staff members, and the "Fatal Four" traffic squad vehicles. Guest contingents representing the International Police Association, the Australian Federal Police and the Queensland Retired Police Association also took part.
On the Saluting Dais were Police Commissioner Bob Atkinson and Queensland Government Minister for Police and Emergency Services, Neil Roberts.
