I tried...and tried..and tried...to reload it to fix the sync sound problem, but somehow, youtube will not accept the upload and does not offer an explanation as to why. Likely a codec issue and my very very old dino computer. Sorry all.

  • Yeah I did try to repost it. More then once. Youtube responded with something akin to: can't repost a duplicate. It simply wouldn't accept it. I gave up. Sorry. Shame, really.

  • Sorry about the out of sync sound. But at the moment I am sans net at home so it'll havta remain like this til I get the goods to fix it.

  • Hi, this is one of my favourite songs too. Btw, The audio stopped working in the past few days. Regarding the audio sync issue, have you tried to just delete the video all together and create a brand new entry?

  • THE FROG IN ANYTHING REMOTELY CLOSE TO OUR NATIONAL ANTHEM...LET ALONE THE ACTUAL ANTHEM...MAKES IT SOUND LIKE SHIT. SING FROG ONLY IN FROGLAND.

  • I LOVE THIS SONG I LOVE MY COUNTRY CANADA IS THE BEST COUNTRY ON EARTH WE ARE MULTI CULTURAL. BONNE FETE DU CANADA LE MESIMEES BONJOUR. HAPPY CANADA DAY DAY HELLO

  • Words and music are by Brian Gibson and Bob Buckley. Arranged by Bob Buckley. It was the theme song from the Canada Pavillion at Expo 86 in Vancouver. Such a great song.. I too am surprised it never caught on.

  • @Autostade67

Bob (Robert) Buckley - I think he's directing the choir (4:50)

  • I'm surprised this didn't catch on more - I think it's another great suplemental anthem to O CANADA and MAPLE LEAF FOREVER. I always thought it was great since I was 7 in 1986.

  • Does anyone know who composed this? At the time (1986) I thought it was going to create a thunderous revival in national spirit akin to the songs that came out of expo '67...but, though it had a following, it never quite caught on. I'm a music teacher now and would love to teach it to my kids, who now, in the successful shadow of the Vancouver Olympics, are in sore need of some national musical mythology...and this "anthem" has just the right "soar" to move many of them.

  • I'm not 100% on it, but if I recall correctly, the singers aren't professionals. I think it was intended to be sung by everyday people.
