  • if u are a b-boy, respect other dance styles. u know how hart it is to learn a dance.

wacking is a dance and "gay shit or not" is not important.

  • Don't get tight just cuz I know what itz really s'posed to look like..Just cuz people go take a 'class' on wacking or locking, u can't come here stating thatz wut they're doing..

  • @Peripato

lol...ANA SANCHEZ IS NOT THE INVENTOR OF THAT STYLE...AND TYRONE IS NOT A POPPING DANCER...U OBVIOUSLY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT!!! ANA WILL NEVER CONQUER TO THAT STATEMENT OF YOURS...YOU HAVE NO IDEA OF THE DANCE HISTORY....

  • loc wak what ever just have fun

  • thumbs up if wacking is one of the coolest dance ever made!

  • LOVE this.

  • @xtahtick

i think it more resembles electric boogaloo-- different from locking per se...

  • really i thought the both came from the east coast.

  • Yea your right. No hard feelings :)

  • weird...

    we're putting too much thought.

For me, though, the guy does waack really good, and the same goes with his locking. It just doesn't look so right when he combined the too.

Maybe making two different pieces for two genres would help show his skill. :)

  • Right, good point.

I do believe that all of these styles are connected because they are social dances that have been past on, inspired by and recreated. Doing the styles (not just watching) will help you differentiate the two. And although it may look like there are similarities between Waackin and Locking; the complete attitude and expression of the styles are completely different. Lets not confuse things. Its more than a wrist movement. The movement tell its own story. Education & then hype!

  • Evolution of dances started with foundations. You can't simply say two genres coincidentally had the same foundations. I'm not saying the dancer here did great when he mixed waacking and locking.

Having two different forms doesn't mean they come from two different foundations. :)
