My church had a big celebration at the end of doing the 40 days of community. Here is the opening Haka and song of the ceremonies.
Grace Vineyard Church, Christchurch, New Zealand

my poor little iPod's microphone cannot handle people singing loud! lol

  • beautiful intro, beautiful song, beautiful recording... unfortunately, the qualities aren't perfect. (but still good enough to watch and listen to)

thanks for sharing! a friend of mine wanted to do a Maori haka in her church with her youth members. she wanted a haka appropriate for church-use...I'm glad I found this...you don't mind?

btw, do you have a "clearer" audio recording of this beautiful song?(with the Maori version)

  • @LlewxerMak alas no. This is via an iPod. which is now dead thanks to it going through the washing machine. i'm sure you could get a clearer audio recording somewhere online or in the shops

  • Amen!! I loved that! Thank you so much for sharing! What was the first language they were singing in? Were they singing the same words "Be high and lifted up"? That was really great!...Nancy :o)

  • @nickelnook1 - hi they were singing in Maori. New Zealands indigenous peoples language. Yes they were singing the same words in Be high and lifted up. thanks so much for watching
