An explaination of how a coin press / fly press works. The owner recently acquired this machine (mid 09) and will no doubt get it fully up and running in the future. He already manufactures his own coins by outsourcing, thus using more modern machinery. Hopefully, I am not being offensive to enthusiasts out there by saying that this press is an 'old school' way of making coins. But hey, what is old school when coins have been produced around the world for thousands of years.
can I buy this coining press from you or any other one you might have?

@pagn0002 The owners website does not seem to be up at the moment. He is member 'ozcopper' on the silver stackers.com forum. Ask him :-)

Hmmf. Thanks for showing us. I've never seen one before. Now your friend has to build up some sort of a forge to melt the metals so that he can make his own sheets. He'd be a one man mint. lol
