  • Evan Lysacek showed so much class in his comments. What a gentleman. He is a true champion showing strong character and grace in his comments. The video used to be on the Olympics website and then was removed. It's too bad because it is such a great interview with tough questions from Bob Costas and great responses from Evan. Thanks for posting.

  • Total class act.

  • I've been a long-time Plushenko fan... but wow, Evan showed greatness in this interview. It couldn't have been that easy to respond so graciously to comments thrown at you like that. A real sportsman through and through. I loved his finesse in pointing out details in their artistic and technical scores to shoot down the accusation that his triumph was the downfall of men's figure skating. Still he applauded Plushenko as one of his idols. No sarcasm at all. What a classy guy. BRAVO!

  • Gawd I loved watching his reaction a the beginning of the video! <3 And such a classy interviewee as well! I had hoped somebody would point out, as he did, that the sport of figure skating is not about just one move. So gracious - a real sportsman!

  • @hpcedr thank you so much! :D

  • Incredible poise and a great sport. While ice skating is indeed a sport, it isn't just about one jump but the whole artistic and technical merit of EACH jump and move. Lysacek was deemed stronger all around.

  • Two words: class act. I don't know if I could have reacted as graciously as he did, but, in the end, it really is the best way to handle comments Pluskenko's. He didn't allow the pettiness to ruin his experience and simply gloried in his two awesome performances. Hats off to you, Evan. I think Plushenko could learn something from you too.
