  • @CoCotheTurtle 1974 was the year I graduated High School and I wore out several copies of this record is the reason I remember the year! The BEST years of my entire life but I was too young to realize I had the world in a jug and the stopper in my hand!!

  • I was an 8 year old kid when my 18 year old brother walked into the kitchen with his little transistor listening to Maria and he says "yes I'd like to put her camel to sleep"...of course I thought he was weird back then and today he denies ever saying it. Too funny. Great song!

  • They just dont make music the way they use to and this song is a classic to that!

  • Such a wonderful musical expression. Was in my late teens in 74 and just met my wife. It takes me back and I feel young and very good. Thanks.

  • A catchy tune coupled with "that voice" and perfect execution. If only there was a video of this. When this first came out over the radio I was mid twenties living in Miami.
