Il più grande "BIDONE" della lirica!!! Quando venne in Italia fu presentato come un fenomeno vocale...poi lui stesso si lodava per la sua grande voce e per il suo stupendo fraseggio( non sono parole mie ma di José Cura in persona, su un'intervista rilasciata al mensile l' Opera)...per quanto mi riguarda il suo canto è solo un urlo continuo senza tecnica...peccato perché il temperamento e la voce sono di qualità...saluti

Cura has shown time and time again that he is an imaginative actor who surprises with occasional startling originality, he takes chances ... and let's face it, he looks like a leading man. But what he does with his essentially lyric (big lyric) voice is unhealthy - he pushes chronically, underattacks practically every high note by a semi-tone. A question of too much too soon, we'll see if his voice lasts. I sincerely hope that it does, he could develop into a solid middleweight dramatic tenor

Cura ha avuto successo principalmente perchè era un bell'uomo, la tecnica non l ha mai avuta, anche quando aveva voce da giovane.
