(Note: The funny & weird feeling that grips you just before the moment of bungy jump at that height of over 760ft, where the distant hills, sea and small cars on winding roads & bridges look hazy, can NOT be captured in the video at all!)

"Why live life on the edge when you can JUMP OFF IT": this is the catchy caption with which AJHackett lures all the thrill-seekers to this world's highest bungy jump! At 233m (764ft) from the 338m tall Macau tower; to give you an idea it is like jumping from the balcony of at least a 60 storey building or higher...

The World's Highest Bungy Jump at Macau Tower gives you a free fall at a speed of up to 200km/h for the ultimate extreme journey! Plunging from a platform 233m high, you experience several seconds of freefall before stretching the 50 meter bungy cord nearly four times its unloaded length and rebounding at approximately 30 meters above the ground. A guide cable system prevents bungy jumpers from banging against the tower which appears quite close by when you are falling.

I went to Macau (from Hong Kong) on Feb 8th, 2009 Sunday, with this highest bungy jump as my sole motive! ...and it was worth every buck & every second! (This was my 2nd bungy jump after the 50m, or approx 164ft, bungy jump overseeing a lake amidst the lush-green woods & hills at Phuket, Thailand.)

  • I did a 400 footer in Peru and that was amazing. Can't imagine one from this height. I am sure it is incredible. How much does this one cost?

  • @dunn4040 Approx. US$ 300

  • I bungeed in New Zealand at Nevis, 134 meters (440 ft) and it was scary, but an extreeeeme adrenalin rush. This one though seems super scary. However, I wonder if the huge inflatable "cushion" thing (I forgot what they are called) takes away from the fear factor?

  • @CinemaMaximus

The thin cushion is not of much help if somebody were to fall from that height, it is more for the final 'soft landing' after the jump is done. And anyway, the distant hills & sea freak you enough to ignore the useless cushion below :D

  • where is this ?

  • the descriptions mentions it - in Macau (in China, very close to Hong Kong)
