Straight Razor Shave Complete with Chin Nick

This is a str8 razor shave with a c1840 6/8 single hollow ground Hill & Millard ivory scales razor. Three passes complete with chin nick in the second pass.

I have a peculiar obsession for straight razors. What I really like about them is that using them requires such focuss and dexterity and all of a sudden shaving is no longer just another annoying chore, it's like a form of art, it's beautiful.

@rlta04 @rlta04 make sure you stretch the skin from a direction that reduces that feeling. also, try reducing the blade angle so that the spine of the razor is closer to the skin. slightly puffing out your cheek with air can sometimes help too. it will take some experimentation before you find your own personal best method.

i am fairly new to using a straight razor.Biggest trouble I have is going upward or against the grain.It always feels like its going to dig in

@Yu2Kal This is what alot of people are scared of. Actually its hard to cut the adams apple. For you to even do that you would need to put alot of pressure and do a sawing motion. The human skin is kinda thick. So even if you do nick your throat you will be fine.
