  • i like your video, and i like the redhawk alaskan in 44 mag, so much infact that i have it in 454 caliber also a verry awsome handgun.... thanks ruger six......

  • @macdaddy53191 Thanks! In .454!?! Your covered! lol =) Nice!

  • Hello rugersix. The fellow in the bear picture was walking his dogs at his homeplace in Alaska when this Kodiak charged out at them in a deadly mood. He said he only got off a couple of shots because the handloads he was carrying locked the cylinder when the remaining bullets jumped forward due to their insufficient crimp! Says a lot for the value of practice, huh?

  • @axishans axishans..........THANKS for sharing that! I was hoping someone would know the story! WoW! Sounds like he got very lucky! The value of practice to make sure your reloads are up to par...yeah no kidding! I think I would opt for factory ammunition! Thanks again for the info!!! =)

  • If you had to fire that thing in the dark in a room with walls in a home defense situation, not only would you temporarily blind yourself for a significant amout of time, but you would also not be able to hear for a while.

If you missed, your opponent would have his way with you. Unless you used .44 specials in it. ; )

  • @Poseidon500 LOL! There's a great point!!! I have yet to purchase any or shoot any

.44 Specials! They are if not as much more than .44 Magnums!!! Thanks for the comment!

  • s&w is better.. for example 627 with 8 shoots.. ;-)

  • @ironfreak225 That is NOt a guarentee. What i said before IS a guanentee. : )

  • @rugersix Well, a .44 magnum is overkill for home defense. Besides, your bullet would be so powerful it would go through walls possibly killing an innocent.

If you could find .44 specials hollow points, that would be ideal. But of course, you would not want to be in that situation anyway.

Common sense prevails every time man.

    Peace.
