Mehergarh: A Centre for Learning organized Youth Leadership training camps annually from 2005 to 2008. Mehergarh selects and gathers young leaders from urban and rural areas from all over Pakistan who had taken any special initiative on the issues of their area or vicinity. These Youth leaders undergo 2 months residential training at Mehergarh Training Centre in which they are made proficient to see and weigh up the whole society including National to International Movements, provincial issues, Democracy, Structure of a Democratic State, Values of Political Parties, Parliamentary System, Judiciary, Laws, Constitution of Pakistan, Patriarchal and Matriarchal System, History of this region, our civilizations, culture, music and our National Heroes from different angles . During the last week of training, Mehergarh creates practical groups of these youth leaders who would work on making strategy for their locality. During the selection process, more than qualification, we focus on dedication and enthusiasm to work on issues, and the initiatives the leader had taken before. Every year a group of 30 to 40 youth leaders is selected for Mehergarh Youth Leadership Camp.
