Flying the Funtana X50 with a YS.63 FZS running a 13x5 master airscrew prop, some 3D flight with torque rolls and knife edge flight, a very smooth plane to fly. Apologies for the video, was taken with a digital camera.

  • what size prop and how many rpm's thanks

  • It was a 13x6 master airscrew and it spun at around 10,500-11,000 from memory.

  • dude i have 1 of these with a saito 65 in and i not as good as yours but do you not use the knife edge paddles either i think they make it fishtail ;-)

  • Yeah i loved the ys.63, had plenty of punch for a small motor. I was only ever running 20% nitro in it too, i reckon i could have gone to 25% or 30% and it would have given it just that little bit more verticle!

I hardly ever flew with the side generators, though mine never fish tailed with them on!

  • Nice torque roll at the end.

  • Thanks mate. You should watch my other clip with the AJ extra 330s. Theres some nice torque rolling near the ground with that one too!

  • Radio is a JR x2610 6 channel radio. Servo's to be honest are towerpro MG995 digitals. I got them dead cheap off ebay. They are no name brand servos but have heavy duty arms from futaba and worked great, i had no problems with them at all! Receiver is a JR 770s.

  • Sweet video, what servos and radio are you using mate?

  • Thanks, the engine is a ys.63 FZS. The ys is a 4 stroke 63 size engine. I chose it coz it was light and apparently has more punch than the saito 70 size 4 stroke. The Os will have lots of vertical punch if you like 3d, but you will gain lots of weight. Your choice!

  • Very nice flight my friend. Your engine sound like a 4 S. I planning to get one of this plane and planning to use a 0.91 OS 4s I was wondering what size your engine is? Thank you
