POINTS OF INTEREST
Anderton boat-lift known as the "Cathedral of the canals." Located near Northwich, Cheshire was built in 1875. Now reopened in 2002 following a £7 million restoration programme.
Little Moreton Hall in Congleton is perhaps the best known example of a timber framed architecture in England. Now owned by the National trust since 1938 and well worth a visit. (Guided tours given)
Macclesfield And District 61st Annual Sheep dog trials. Displaying an age-old skill passed down from generations.
