Jessica and Travis followed along on this inspection to the roof, the crawlspace and everywhere in between. They were great clients to work with! They asked great questions, and really showed an interest in learning all they could about their prospective home. Since there is older non-grounded wiring in the branch circuits, I showed them how to safely remove a circuit breaker and replace it with a GFCI breaker to provide shock protection in the kitchen and bathrooms. They also learned how to test and adjust the closing force on the garage door opener, how to correct a roof-sheathing problem when no H-clips were used during the installation of the roof, and, most fun of all, how to use a moisture meter and an infrared camera to find insulation gaps and moisture in building materials.
