I have an old seringe thats been used on animals and i lost my old seringe.

if i boil it and use bleach on it will it kill off all harmfull viruses Bacteria?

  • Boiling syringes can damage the seals and plastic... rinsing with water and bleach will kill viruses and bacteria. Really, you should get a new sterile syringe to use each time.

  • What kind of infections would this refer to? Only HIV, or any virus(Hep C), microbes, protozoa, fungi?

Best way to do it= water first then bleach three times then water again, Hyrodgen Peroxide(3% stabilized), 70% isopropanol, alkyl dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride(Benzalkonium chloride), and last BETADINE and then water a couple more times. This mechanism will rid any living organism on god's green earth(organisms that can be found in syringes, that is)
