Race instructor Ben Elliott giving customers a passenger ride in a caterham c400.

The sprint circuit shown in the video is one of three driver training activities used on the Track day / Race Instructor airfield events.

The first lap is neat and tidy and was my fastest passenger lap. The second lap is a bit of showing off but by this time I was getting tired and the wheel pulled out of my hands during a couple of bigger slides. Need to do more exercise!

The video was recorded using one of the 2 Racelogic Video Vbox video and data logger systems owned by Ben Elliott. These are available to hire or you can purchase them at www.race-instructor.co.uk

Apologies for the camera angle being a bit off - the camera got knocked whilst the passengers were changing over.

  • No harder than a normal caterham really. The only thing extra do do is to remove the alloy cover for the passengers side. This is normally held on with cable ties. In the car in the video the support pole that the cover attaches to was also removed - four bolts I believe.

This car had a caterham race seat in the passenger side - bolt in and off you go!
