Hello! I'm the Pablo of the video! Yes, they didn't drink whole the mate each one, because it was too much mate for being the first time. So they this did this yummy drink with a lot of fun, but in a light version. Mate ritual ask you to be used to it! And I agree with Cuevarap! It is much more healthy and fun that you can imagine. Kind regards to everybody !

Actually you can't blame the tourists for not doing the 'mate ritual' correctly. It´s out of their culture, their first time & the guide didn´t complete the explanation. Each one had to sip all the water in their turn. That is, you fill the gourd again before each turn leaving no liquid leftovers for the next sipper. Hope it becomes popular someday in the US. It's extremely healthy, do a little research & be surprised.

haha, I am not very fond of mate, but it's quite remarkable how most foreigners think of mate as a sort of drug first time they try it :)
