  • Hi bkedp, bending the knee past the toes might create a shear force on the ligaments and tendons. When adding additional weight or using high impact moves be particularly careful with your positioning.

There are opinions that the shear force that is created when bending the knee past the toes while keeping the heels on the floor is something the ligaments and tendons are able to handle but I wouldn't rely on that when adding weight or impact moves.

    I hope this helps.

  • @POLlyy23 the figure 8 move is exactly like basketball move, but in this video she is not making the figure 8, she is making lunge with switch, I don't consider that it is the same thing.

  • I thought the bell should be swinging like in the figure 8 move.

or have i been doing it wrong, bacause it feels like a good sport specific move (basketball)

  • Just curious, we always hear the knee should never extend beyond the toe. I am always concious of this and avoid it, but I do not know exactly why this is a problem. Anyone know?
