what equipment is best? dark scythe keeps bouncing off, not even sure if its doing any actual damage

Use a hammer. This video isn't good for showing how to beat it quickly, you'll notice my weapon bouncing off often. Hammers might not have the best reach, but their strength is great, plus they won't get deflected during attacks.

this video was made before I upgraded it to Ancient Blade. I have all the rust stones except the hammer fully upgraded.

@I3oSsTrAd il try different weapons as well but bows are just wothless I do okay with almost al weapons but bows and huntinghorns are just worthless at least for me

@wowgek7 ps i don't mean to say bows are the best weapon all i mean is they have just as many pro's and con's as the other weapons. I try to keep practiced with bows as well as horn's theres no need for me to be stubborn and not use a weapon because im unfamiliar with the type.=) try and have a few nice weapons as opposed to just one....

@I3oSsTrAd I believe you but its just not my weapon I stoped playing another shooter with the same aim options and I just quited it I get realy pissed if I cant even hit a monster with 1 shot before I die and a bow takes too long a monster I can kill in 10 minutes take 3 times as long with a bow

@wowgek7 seriously bows are my favourite , if you take a look at my channel theres a vid called MHFU - Rathlos Yian Kut ku Iodrome Basarios it shows me killin those four monsters . It doesn't show the whole battle just some of it and the kills of each monster. I was using a lvl 2 hunters bow i think and water armour it shows how little i need the protection when using a bow

@I3oSsTrAd bows are the most worthless weapons in the game because you cant even aim properley with them I some else recomded the same thing vs tigrex I just tried the training for fun and I was killed before I even fired 3 shots

@wowgek7 yeah but bows don't have a sharpness the only time a bow attack fails is if A its on the elder dragon with a wind barrier or if you miss =) Honestly get and bow and just pick away at his health an yeah the battle will go faster if you have a stronger bow

@Goufunaki he powned me (the high rank one) even with an hammer ebcause an hammer bounces just like any weapon and its thrue he has a weak spot but that is so smal it doesnt erealy count so I cant beat this retarded beast

@I3oSsTrAd this thing cant be beaten in high rank serieusley al my attacks bounce off even though the weapon is dragon element I cant kill it with al my attacks bouncing off the hitzone is like so smal that you are lucky if you can give him 1 hot there

@TheCheesecar Just buy any bow which has pierce and pick away at his health , the basarious is stupidly slow and has only one attack (the beam thing) which may actually be able to catch you out....
