i'm from malaysia, studied in uk from mid 70's to early 80's & i remember this ad quite well. 2 wks to get used to the extra mild taste of silk cut. great british humour here & thanks for the upload. brought back lots of memories of my time in uk.

did any1 realise that the main Zulu dude is painted black, he's white!

I love the way they took classic bits and pieces from "ZULU" an incorporated them into the ad.

At least then we had the freedom to choose.
I loved this commercial and I was a teenager. But it did not make me smoke.

I loved this commercial when I saw it in the 70's.
Back when you could smoke and drink at the movies.
A bar... in the Cinema? (another commercial).

Hi - I yearned to work in the ad business but they didn't seem to be recruiting when I left art school (even applied to CDP) so I've been a freelance designer ever since instead. They certainly don't make 'em like this anymore (shame!)
