2011 Hart Vision CA Charter School of the Year: Olga Mohan High School

Though students come from historically disadvantaged backgrounds, they are fulfilling the school's mission of college-readiness, as evidenced through a graduation rate of 100% and a 4-year college acceptance rate of 94%. High expectations and the school-wide culture is what has led to much of the school's success, including an API score of 883 last year--an at least 200 point lead over every surrounding LAUSD high school. Olga Mohan High School, located in Los Angeles, is one of two charter schools of the year for 2011.
