mine duz the same thing, but it still says no signal. and when i removed the hardrive it didnt even startup it remained the same with the message no signal. i love my ps3 and please i need help. someone help me. is it still a harddrive problem? i need to fix this ive been waiting 9 months for an answer.

I bought a new hardrive and it fixed my problem. My PS3 runs fine now. Hope it helps!

okay thank you. ill try the new harddrive. and just after i commented i tried again. and this time i put the game in. there was just a black screen instead of no signal. just wondering but, did your ps3 freeze before you fixed it? did the screen mix up wierdly? when everytime you tried to reset it froze while restoring? thank you so much for your help(:

im actually a guy im just using my sisters account---- first take out the hard drive.then tourn yo ps3 on . when its on and it says could not start cuz there is no hard drive , then put in the hard drive

I removed the hard drive then put it back in a few times and got nothing.Here is what i did to fix it.-1. With the PS3 in Standby mode (Red light on), press and hold the Startbutton until you hear a single beep, followed by double beeps.2. It should say to connect your controller. Connect the controller using USB cable and press the PS button on thecontroller.3. Now, the system restore screen will comeup . This saved me the trouble of having to get a new HD.
