  • wow i did not know that sea foam did not have no corrosive chemical . then how do it clean the egr valve so good ? it saved me from replaceing the part so i am 100%happy

  • @cincyterminator Sea Foam uses a cleaning oil and a lubricating oil in it formula so Sea Foam cleans and lubricates at the same time.

  • my wife has a 2003 eddie bauer explorer with a v6 flex fuel system the egr valve was stuck and the dude a t advance auto suggested that i use sea foam in the vaccum line i was thanking the same as the previous comment as garrett6699 why put a corosive liquid through your vaccum lines? It removes all of the "Good" carbon ?but i tryed it anyhow thinking it was a way to tell my wife to get a new car lol when i did this it smoked bad my wife drove it to work and now that car gets better gas milage

  • @cincyterminator Just to let you know Sea Foam has no corrosive chemical additives. Sea Foams cleaning oil is petroleum not a chemical, Sea Foam is 100% pure petroleum.

  • i have a 2000 seadoo gtx, rotax fuel injection. It says in the manual not to use fuel injection cleaners, doy you know if its alright to use ?, seadoo is a big money scam

  • Sea Foam is a pure petroleum blend and has no chemical additives and is very safe for all internal combustion engines.Sea Foam will help keep your injectors clean while controling any moisture in your fuel and Sea Foam a;lso adds upper cylinder lube to the fuel.

  • Sea Foam is a simple mixture of Pale Oil (look it up), Naptha and Isopropyl Alcohol in the right percentages. I use it and swear by it. Use exactly as directed and it works. It's not snake oil and it's not magic. Sea Foam won't fix a broken part or a failing engine, but it will clean the internal parts and remove varnish and deposits, which is the cause of many engines running poorly.

  • I'll stick with Lucas Upper Cylinder Lube... sometimes with a mix of naphta as cleaning treatment (also increases HP a bit)... this seafoam stuff acts the same as what a mechanic I used to know does to clean an engine with break fluid: can't be healthy to the engine and sure as hell not good to the environment. if I get problems that Lucas doesn't fix, I just do some mechanic and change the parts needed, I don't rely on some "magic" fluid to fix my engine problems...

  • @cincyterminator Stop using fucking Ethanol! It eats everything!

  • Veteran user here; I see power increases and quicker throttle responses along with an all-over smooth power band, everytime I use the product. From my I5 Turbo to my sport bike. Great product. $10 and a little of know-how will get you pretty far with this. The engine just sounds happier afterwards!

  • ive had no problems with it just dont pour so much in your vacuum lines you hydrolock the engine

  • I find that snake oil is the same thing

  • @nubie232 dont put it in the engine oil

you put it in your gas tank and also let it get sucked in through a vacuum hose... usually the brake booster hose. make sure you have alot of gas in the tank and use a funnel

  • do you have to change your oil after using this stuff? I have an 01 Tahoe and am worried I would ruin the engine components by it eating away the gaskets or seals.

  • I tried this stuff in a small 4 cycle engine and the valves, piston and combustion chamber looked the same after i used sea foam. REAL carbon cleaner's don't make blue/white smoke. They make thick grayish black smoke, that's the carbon being burned off. With seafoam all your seeing is the actual seafoam product being burned off by the engine and nothing more. Transmission fluid and marvel mystery oil will do the same thing sea foam does which is make a smoke show.

  • This product and the procedure meant for direct injected engines does absolutely nothing to clean the intake valves. It only makes seafoam rich. Next time get a probe camera and film the inside of your intake manifold, ports/valves PRIOR to the treatment. Then after you're finished, film or tape the intake manifold/ports & valves again to see if indeed there was any improvement. There won't be much if any. Inject any oil-based junk in your car while its running and it will smoke up. Waste of $!
