Definitely go go go to dinner! I'm also a Korean adoptee and recently became friends with the Korean waitress at a nearby restaurant. One thing I'm beginning to learn is that the Korean community is very kind and helpful if you're curious. She and her husband took me out to lunch and she taught me a lot about Korean culture. If my life were a Korean drama she would probably end up being my mother!

Try to make friends with the Koreans that u had ur car accident with. I think it's a good start to make more connections with ur birth place! In Asian's superstitious perspective, it's kind of fate (unknown attraction arranged by god?!) to have such an accident that people involved are all Koreans....wish u can find ur birth mother soon! ; )
