8020 is an industrial prototyping extrusion made from aluminium. Saul used it here to construct a chopper by joining the extrusions with water-jet cut plates of 1/4inch aluminum.

  • Thats an interesting thing to use 80/20 for. As far as looks go....it is what it is. But as far as using 80/20 for stuff its a home run. I use a lot of 80/20 building machines so I'd have to comment on the fact that the stuff is used for far more than just prototyping. I'm building a screen printer right now with a HUGE assortment of extrusions. It is far more than a prototype.
