Three Peak Challenge 2009: TEAM MEAK

After a year of planning, on June 11th, 2009, 24 passionate MEAK supporters in the UK tackled the famous "THREE PEAK CHALLENGE" to raise money for our programs in Kenya. The challenge involves hiking/walking the highest mountains in England (978m), Scotland (1344m) and Wales (1085m). The team started the hike up Ben Nevis (Scotland) at 5:30am on Friday, continued on to Scarfell Pike (England), and finished Snowdon (Wales) at 5pm on Saturday, June 13th. The total milage of the trip clocked in at 1,376 miles. Congratulations to the MEAK Three Peaks Team! It's not too late to show your support and help them reach their fundraising goal of 14,000 Pounds ( approximately 23,000 USD ) - they are 80% there!
