On Saturday, April 16th, women across the U.S. attempted to order pap smears at their local Walgreens Pharmacy to raise awareness about the critical female health services that are at risk of being cut amidst budget battles in Congress. The event spread across social networks, after comedian Stephen Colbert featured a FOX & Friends segment that suggested women could easily get pap smears and breast exams at Walgreens instead of their local Planned Parenthood. Check out what happened on Pap Smear Saturday!

  • Walgreens released a statement after that whole debacle, explaining "Neither Walgreens, nor its in-store healthcare clinics, Take Care Clinics, offer pap smears or breast exams," Take Care Clinic spokeswoman Lauren Nestler told Media Matters after being emailed the segment.

Sorry jagfoot. For a media source, Fox News should have done a bit more research.

  • Fox & Friends don't lie...they just misconstrued the truth...huge difference

  • @TheCauzeOfWetPantiez Y'all make no sense boy, everyone knows yer a cunt but ya still go to the docs huh?

  • Walgreens has facilities for medical exams now. In select locations they are called Take Care Health Clinics. Look it up! I don't think they do pap smears or breast exams, but the fact that the facilities are there show that it is not far off. I wouldn't mind it if you guys would have asked those places and Colbert would not have neglected to mention that altogether. Who is the deceptive one now?

  • Yeah, I'm not sure why these women decided to bother Walgreens employees. Did they get permision to record those employees? It's sad to me that this is how they chose to fight their battle. I hope that Planned Parenthood continues to be in existence to prevent these dumb broads from reproducing.

  • It wasn't like Walgreens made the mistake. Going in to Walgreens and finding the 16 year old stock boy and asking for a PAP smear is really putting it to Fox. And even from watching the clip the guy is saying that you can go to Walgreens to get your blood pressure checked. Heck even here in Milwaukee we have some Walgreens that have walk in clincs that for all I know provide that service, I've had no need to ask.

  • Dude, that last kid was really nice, hahah.

    Oh, Fox.

  • awesome!

  • Ah ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Sigh.

Do you think Fox & Friends know what a PAP smear or breast exam is? They are just high functioning morons. You have to keep your expectations low.

  • lol what a nice kid at walgreens i would have rolled if a woman asked me for a papsmear.
