@tenderandpaul very good point about the aging of a guitar...older guitars have somewhat already passed the "test of time,"

Great playing! Have a question thou, overall, how would rate the tokai silverstar? Im looking into buying one really soon. Is it good for gigs? Would it be better if i do some changes with the pickups? Thanks!

Beautiful plain mate, soothes the soul, really really nice!

Nice playing, clean and tasty. Guitar has nice tone. What backing track did you use? Some day I'll learn how to connect my guitar to the computator. Thanks for posting.

I love the unplugged sound of my SS, but I haven't been able to pull such sweet and sunny sounds out yet.

@jiaixxx Hey...so not quite sure of the year of since the serial number was removed but i think early 80's. front 2 single coils are stock and the humbucker...im not sure. strings for this vid was D-addario 10's but now im using Elixers 10-46. for this vid no amp, i was direct into the PC through a Korg ax1500G (which I don't have now) and a ProCo Rat for overdrive. usually for gigs I use a Fender blues junior

hello NICE BLUES would you recomend the silver strat late 70s on top of a fender mexican strats ??? dose your silver strat have a 3 bolt on neck ?? THANK YOU

@vickysvids Hey...yeah id probably go for the silver star, maybe you can find it a little cheaper too. Yeah mine has a 3 bolt neck, bridge pickup was changed to a humbucker (not original). I like older guitars, think they have settled in much better...if they've survived for this long Im sure they'll survive much longer too.

Hey 2711913 thanks for the comment. For the backing track I made it myself, worked out a chord progression I liked, used a drum loop and played the bass track myself, the rhodes was a midi file exported out of "band in a box". Usually how I make my backing trax, kinda easy process once you get it down. Paul
