My favorite clip from my favorite musical of all time... don't even talk of remakes. Here Robert Preston, as con man par excellence "Professor Harold Hill" plays on the fears of naive and righteous midwestern Americans in order to line his own pockets... simply brilliant. It reminds me of the song and dance certain elected officials have been doing in order to get you to support their wars and stealing your liberties. :)

iwishiwasdancing - So's your old man basically is a way of saying you suck - you and your whole family suck. Or in other words - you are a jerk and so's your old man. Them's fightin' words LOL
What a great clip! My favorite song from one of America's classic musicals! Prof. Harold Hill was the role the late great Robert Preston was BORN to play. I'm so glad they let him repeat his Broadway role in the 1962 movie version from Warner Bros. Smart move on their part...that's for sure! Thanks for sharing this great clip with us!
