55 kilometers to the west of Bujumbura, Burundi's capital, stands a primary school named Musigati II. Built in 1972 it is not in good shape anymore. Due to the lack of state budget funds, school needs to acquire money in another way.
Therefore there is a tiny farm with pigs and some allotments just a few meters from the school building.
The farm products are sold at the local market and the profit is used for the Musigati II. - school needs, Charles Makoto explains.
