  • my fujitsu has the same damn high-pitched whine/buzz/squeal/whatever. Core 2 Duo processor. If I leave it on overnight, when I get up it's doing it. If I'm using the computer, it doesn't do it. If I turn the computer off then on, it'll go away then come back.

  • trying using rmclock, read the other comments and you might find a solution.

  • I have the same model I and also hear that noise, it is annoying sometimes.

  • sometimes? It was very annoying for me, therefore i returned it.

  • samethings happening to mine and a power issue....please help i got this for a christmas present and it worked for a couple of days then now its just all messed up...

  • Just made a program to make it quiet, works by using ur processor fully, u can turn it off or on when ever u want, here

    megaupload(dot)com/?d=EF1DJU32

  • That is a problem with the inverter... Usually happens when you're laptop overheats and burns it. I would replace it. It's moderate on the difficulty scale, but is cheap and will fix your problem

  • yea,what program man.are u afraid to tell us????

  • I have the same laptop but mine is silent and running vista ultimate

  • go to system properties - device manager then go to the bluetooth radios , expand to dell truemobile 355 bluetooth , double click , go to power management , uncheck the option says " allow the computer to turn off this device . this should fix it , a little extra battery consumption but it worth it

  • I've got the same computer and it makes the same noise when idle. I was told it was a ram problem and that there was nothing I could do about it, though if you have a solution I'd be very happy to hear it.

  • I got the same model and it also does that sound time after time...

  • throw it down, it will be fixed. lol

  • Could be that something is not making a good contact. I had a similar sound on a Compaq, turned out to be the AC socket on the laptop wasn't soldered well enough and it would heat up and make that noise.
