Pardon my ignorance but why did michael quit the group? From what I have seen she is an excellent singer and musician.

@LtRacjack12 Oh no believe me. She is not like those people who eat up fame and take advantage of it. I just meant that it like...sort of...sucked the life out of her sort of. Ugh idk how to explain it.

@mdotwilightluver556 perhaps but I think she kept her dignity and her values intact doing that. That is far more to an individual than all the fame in the world. Look at all the musicians and thespians who have eternal fame but died so unhappy because they threw away everything about themselves to achieve it.

@LtRacjack12 She is alone and detached, much like she was from the band in the end. She doesn't talk to her family much. She doesn't come to family reuinions. She is a great lady and I love her, but I think fame did something to her and then pulled away. And now she is alone.

Check out the (uncomfortable) laugh from Michael and then Vicki when Susanna says "so now we have lives". The implication being that one has to be married with children in order to have a "life"?
I can just see Michael sarcastically thinking the same thing to herself.

Ah Michael, it was always about the music for her and not the pop mentality, I hope she is enjoying her life now. The Bangles can never be the Bangles without her.

Michael appears to be turning her back on the rest of the group slightly. Was gutted when she quit the band :-( Seen them live as the original line up and met them two days in a row, then again with Michaels replacement last year. Abby was good but Michael rocks!
