The truth about the Quran is in the book itself. The verses clearly are not a human creation. If such a book had been written by humans, it would have undergone several edits and rewrites to make it perfect like the Quran is. In spite of the word processing tools of modern day technology, we all humans and Jinns together could not produce an edition of that accuracy and quality even with support of the best word processors in the world. Is this a comparison to those days when a word written once could not be easily edited? The Book has mentioned this challenge as an evidence of its record from those days centuries ago. This is one small miracle that is enough to convince the most intelligent person on earth, if he is willing to listen. That's how it works. Muhammad (SAAW) was an illiterate man who had no formal education in any science, language, religious or secular. Obviously he could not have written any words leave alone a book. Quran speaks about a variety of branches of science like: Astronomy, Embryology, Hydrology, Geology, Sociology, Psychology, Oceanography, Laws of nature and human behavior, including lots of scientific statements which came to be known only much recently. * Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) displayed no scholarly tendencies or achievements until the age of forty (when he said he began to receive the first verses of Quran). This illiterate man introduced the Quran, a book which brought about an ideological and religious revolution that changed history. * In part of the revelations, Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) was directed by Allah to honored the virgin Mary (May Allah be pleased with her), the mother of Jesus (peace be on him) as the best woman over all women on earth over all ages until day of judgment. Being an orphan he does not mention his own family members with a single word. This goes to show that the Book was not authored by Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah on him) * There are mentioned in the Quran verses that reprimand him (as that of chapter 33, verse 37 and chapter 80 verses 1-3). Would he have mentioned such verses if he wrote the Quran by himself? No human would. Some others claim that Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) copied the Quran from the Bible. Arguments against this claim are: No Arabic version of the Bible was available at the time of Prophet Muhammad (peace be on him). There are very early Aramaic copies available . The earliest Arabic version of the New Testament was published by Erpenius in 1616 AD (about one thousand years after Quran) * Quran included correct scientific information on some incidents that are scientifically incorrect in the Bible (e.g. sun was created after the creation of earth Genesis 1:9-19 and vegetation was created before the Sun-Genesis 1:11-13, 14-19). had prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) copied the information from the Bible and corrected the mistakes before mentioning it in the Qur'an? In addition, Quran includes many statements, currently disproved such as claiming the Earth to be flat or that the Jews are descended from apes and pigs. As a result of military conquest and economic coercion, many Jews and Christians, including many who were scholars in their religion, converted to Islam. * Quran has some preachings or tales that are similar to that in the Bible, then this is because all holy books came from a single source (God). "tajri" means run not flow. but thats the metaphor hope you got my point.

you need to understand, God gives clues, and our job is to find the full knowledge. God said about sun moving, one of our job is to find where.

@theindiekidable one more reason im always feeling bad about talking about the koran. to tell the truth, i fail arabic when i was in school lol. thats why i take japanese.

ok, so now you go straight to google translate and find "follow" in arabic. then you compare arabic verse in 91:2. wal qamari iza talaha.

"talaha" direct translate to followed by. and varieties of follow (based on google translate) doesnt have the root verb of talaha

It is not for the sun to overtake the moon, nor does the night outstrip the day. They all float, each in a path

even if the verse was translated to english and use "path". it still doesnt seem like its written by a madman.

many scientists believe that space doesnt exist before the big bang. plus, im sure you are not working in the field of astronomy (seriously, me too). so lets not say things we do not know, like fools.

@theindiekidable one of our beliefs is that humans are given lots of choices whether to do good or do bad. the choice is ours, so whether we go to hell or to heaven depends on us.

plus, we also believe that prayers can change the course of things (if god allows it of course). God knows if we are going to do bad or good, but the choice is only ours to choose when the time comes.

@de0509 The generally accepted theory was that there was a singularity before the moment of inflation (as it is commonly referred to now). Space isn't a perfect vacuum (because it contains stars, planets, particles, vapours), however the moment before the expansion of the universe there would be nothing - i.e. a perfect vacuum. Please can reply with the citation of that quote - because there is obviously different translations - there was no word in Quraysh Arabic for orbit at the time.

@de0509 What is the point of test somebody if you already know the result? Not just know the result before the take the test (49:16) but at the moment of creation (57:22) but stills need to test people (2:155). This is all very contradictory. Seems more like somebody has jumbled a bunch of ideas together.

@de0509 91:1-2, specifically says the Moon follows the Sun in the same orbit - when as you should know that the Moon goes around the Earth, and the Earth goes around the Sun. 36:38, merely says that the Sun runs it's course. There's no mention of the fact that the Earth goes around the Sun - but actually contradicts the known science, as the Sun doesn't orbit the Earth, it may orbit the Milky Way - but there is no mention of the Sun orbiting a galaxy or a super-massive black hole.
