A remake of the Foreigner classic by the lovely Rhona Bennett. This song is featured on her debut album Rhona (2001). She was the first lady of Darkchild [super music producer Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins' record label]. Her album only received overseas release and, on a good day, it can be found on Amazon.Com or eBay.com. I had nearly forgotten that Rhona covered this classic on her solo project. I'm fond of Mimi, but Rhona's version is several notches better on several levels, including the vocal performance & interpretation. However, terrific voice alone does not a superstar make, sadly.

She really have a Whitney´s kind of voice with a big touch of Celine (that vibrato is strong), and it´s great. There´s nothing of Mariah here, and, my friends, Mariah´s is a force of nature, a super human voice and she goes down, low, lower,and high, higher and super higher, she explore places with her voice that only become real when she opens her mouth. What I´m tryng to say is... There´s a big difference between an amazing singer like Rhona and a living legend like Mariah.

this version is grand!!! really!!! but i prefer the version wynona ryder had sung at Oprah winfrey because you could see that, that version really came from wynona's heart after a very difficult time she had... I am not badmouthing this version because like i said this version is also very very well sung fantastically... but looking at my feelings i prefer wynona's version... Peace y'all!!!

There is no comparison with Rhona's version of this song and Mariah Carey. Fortunately, both singers are great in there own right. Rhona, girl you put this song away. The pacing was great and you were so...believable! Thanks for a great cover of a really dynamic song.

rocman28 - Rhona's been singing just under the same time as Mariah, but Rhona is quite younger than Mariah, & has a new album dropping. Mariah is a good friend, & I support/LOVE her new record, but it doesn't come close to what Rhona is about to drop.... trust me, I know lol. Plus, there's no way to toggle the vocal capabilites of the two. Mariah's voice/range is ridiculously amazing, but Rhona's vocal tone, performance & vocal range is bigger.
