Doesn't Apostasy or the way they spell it Apostisy mean to renounce faith ?

@FallenInAdam They are two different words. I read the meaning of Apostisy once, but I can't remember it. All I can say is that apostasy means the renounce of faith but apostisy does not.

I'm sick of all the athiest comments i see about people hating on metal just because its of christian genre, does it matter? every person has certain taste in music, and so many ppl i see saying wheres the proof that god exists. life is what u make it. I doubt i would still be alive if it wasnt for his mercy and love, he works miracles everyday, his son died on the cross for our sins if it wasnt for that we wouldnt be here, he forgives us for everything and we can come to him with anything

Apostasy (play /əˈpɒstəsi/; Greek: ἀποστασία (apostasia), 'a defection or revolt', from ἀπό, apo, 'away, apart', στάσις, stasis, 'stand, 'standing') is the formal disaffiliation from or abandonment or renunciation of a religion by a person. Being Christian is about a relationship with Jesus, not religion. I think that's why they chose that name.

Stokkland: Apostisy is a term derived from the Ancient Greek word Apostasy. Apostasy means to fall away from something, typically referring to falling away from God. I changed the verb from a past tense to an event that will come in the near future, referring to the time when God will take us from this planet.
