you know whats awesome about this series?while the tenth doctor was still on he saw his wife sacrifice herself for him and he didnt even know who she was .yet he griefed for that unknown woman the way someone would for a person he loved.But thats just how kind the doctor is with everyone.Theres the doctor for you!

@10030002051075: Well, technically speaking, the Vashta Nerada themselves did not kill River. She rerouted the computer's power systems through her own body, killing herself in pace of the Doctor.

@princessthyemis Like I said before River and The Doctor are traveling in opposite directions as far as their timeline goes. The more we follow the Doctor in his adventures of getting older the more we meet River getting younger. We saw River's death when she was at the end of her time. But her timeline is in the opposite direction of the Doctor. That's why we see her during 11's time. She is in an earlier part of her timeline. I know confusing but that's how it works. :)

@princessthyemis Before back when it was David playing as the Doctor they were in the great library that each book told the entire past of everyone. Except the Doctor himself. It was at a timeline that River already knew and loved the Doctor so she has seen his form when Matt played. The shadows that attacked the library took away River's life. That's why when know how she died. After her death the Doctor had a chance to read her dairy which told his future. but he didn't.
