The ending ALWAYS gets me...it's so romantically awesome that I cry EVERY time! I loved this anime because the plot was SO good. Everyone always says that the main character is ugly--so what? Since when do anime characters have to be pretty? In my opinion she is VERY pretty, both inside and out. But anyway, in the end, this is one of my favorite animes every, and I highly respect the maker for being so realistic. The ending is sad but also happy because their love transcends dimensions and time.

Escaflowne is the best anime, the ost, the caracters, the universe heroic fantasy, the love story. It made dream about my childhood and it always continues !

I totally agree with u even though i personally don't think Hitomi is the prettiest anime girl sometimes it's kinda annoying how perfect the heroins are. In real life nones that perfect!
