Like Steve Cropper. He's a texturalist, which usually means you have to know when less is more, and most guitarists, myself included, don't have a firm grasp on that principle. I love all guitars, whether I'd pay money for them or not, it gives me chills to even hear someone talking about them!

As a guitar player, Edge has a great skill with melodic, rythymic underlaying-to say he is not skillful is ridiculous-he is no 'shredder'-but there is a whole lot more to good playing than single line runs.
