Memories! Came across this video when was looking for something else. Never danced but was pals with Deirdre growing up. Used to love listening to the hard reels when she was teaching groups.
I was with the O'Connor School from about 1975 to 1989. I've just set up a Facebook group for the school, hoping to get in touch with others who were there during that period. Great to see this video. Rory was a fantastic teacher and so were Breda and Anne.
My God you are a marvel Mike! Where did you resurrect this clip. Fantastic to see it. I remember Albert Healy very well and his son Noel a great accordionist also.
That's my grandfather! Never knew he'd made onto YouTube.
