This is a modifyed verson of my candy macheine. it has an incredibly low clearence to get the most out of its center of gravity. the clearence is .5 mm. WOW. this is to make sure that lifting robots canot wedge a blade in. its weight is 1.25 lbs. the length is 6.5 inch while the back is 6 3/4 inches. the line on the white paper is ten inches. this is a very compact rover and gets over 5 pounds of pulling power from the traction is gets from catipillar treads from the excavator kit. over gards and under gaurds protect from
1. being lifted.
2. damaging treads
3. geting parts stuck inside tread belt
two motors are used and one ultrasonic.
the program consits of a simple tracking program based off of Brian Davis` "JennToo Nesting Program" this is not a copy and was made compleatly by myself! it will run in a circal while waiting for a "sumo" robot to pass by. then, the robot will turn untill it finds the enemy and charge at it for ten seconds then, by reading the C motors Tachomeater ( fancy word for rotation sensor ) it will the go backwards towards the starting area.

i might try to build somehting simmilar but different =)

yeah it the rubber ones. i have some of the plastic ones but they dont get much traction.

nice dessign have you entered and robotics contest. We have a mini sumo kinda like that one but basically it is 6 wheel drive and is made mostly out of metall that has been welded together
