I have seen the 1943 serial on DVD which is its original form.
I have heard an urban legend that when a re-edited/slightly shortened version of the 1943 Bat-Serial was re-released in 1966 that all references to "Japs" were supposedly crudely overdubbed with "Reds".
Is this true??
If it is, one would think that Tokyo and not Moscow was The Communism Capitol Of The World!

Estimado Mr. Guanaco,
Si es obviamente un maniqui. Pero sigue siendo un buen avance.

But all these clips are from the 1943 serial, not the 1949 one. What the hell???

I was wrong. This is the trailer for the '43 serial.

@MiscVideos78rpm
The 1943 serial titled "Batman" was re-released in late 1965 and shown all in one sitting and called "An Evening with Batman and Robin". It was again re-released (supposedly April 1966) and shown in a two part format - and this time it was advertised as "Batman and Robin", although it was the 1943 serial and not the 1949 serial. And that is what this trailer is from - make sense?
