FM-52E Mandolin is my mandol;in and the part to hook up to the amp r whatever isnt functioning..... the electric part.... i dunno... can u help me or suggest something.

Is there a reason that you cut the maple veneer in half, run it through a surface planer, and then glue it back together? Could you instead just get a larger sheet of maple veneer with a quarter inch thickness? I ask this only because iv'e not got a table saw :P

It's more like a mandola or octave mandolin.
You can do what ever you like, I am trying to show you how to do things and save money at the same time.

I built this Mandolin for the fun of it and wanted a Mandolin that did'nt need to be mic'd. The cool thing about this Mandolin is that it does not feedback.

It is A Fender P Bass pickup. I am only using half of the pickup. I found it on ebay.
