I would find the old M3 and the new 1M to be a far more interesting comparison.

I love the older M3 by far, even though it has significantly less power. Id take that 87 M3 anyday! Just dont like how cars are getting more 'techy' these days, I want to figure out how hard to push it, and handle it, not damn computer!

The reason why the current M3 is less engaging is it weighs 3704lbs, a WHOPPING 29% INCREASE over the old one weighing 2865lbs! We can thank the stricter safety and luxury standards for that.

okey ppl!!! BMW made a M3 model geared towards the original M3 = its called the 1 series!!! similar light body, 3 modes sports mode is the fun do all the shit no TC bad-ass mode :P 1 series is the hier of the original M3
