what kind of lines are you paying for those lone improv lines. i cant figureout a good line as a foundation, and yours sound real nice.

You know how the trumpet it.....She comes and goes as she pleases. To be honest, sometimes my phrasing is crap and sometimes is way better than this. I think I am hearing Freddie Hubbard's attitude when I am at best. Not his lines, but his attitude if that makes sense. Cheers bud!

This is amazing, but I have to ask, is it a metronome in the headphones, or is it the chords or are they just to help you tune?

The headphone is connected to the keyboard in the back which is playing a very cheezy swing pattern (I almost have to ignore it). There are no chords playing in the head phones and I like to practice like this because it makes me responsible for everything. This type of practice only works if you are already hearing the chords in your head and able to play around that sound or outline it. Hope this helps.
