Panelist, Rev. Dr. Karen Hamilton, Secretary General, Canadian Council of Churches, is committed to speaking about and working for ecumenism, interfaith dialogue, the use of the Bible in the church and local and global justice. Most recently, Karen headed up the 2010 World Religions Summit: Interfaith Leaders in G8 Countries, a conference held during the G8/G20 Summit held in Toronto in June, 2010.

The Canadian Council of Churches is the largest ecumenical body in Canada, now representing 22 churches of Anglican, Eastern and Oriental Orthodox, Protestant and Roman Catholic traditions. It is one of the few ecumenical bodies in the world that includes such a range of Christian churches. The officers and staff of the Council are drawn from the whole diversity of traditions represented by the member churches.
