I Remember

I remember!
The words of a saint
He said keep steadfast and you will never fail
For this life is like hell I'm trapped in a cell
And I wonder will I ever get out? Will I make bail?

This path that I lead that I've bin guided to
My Shaykh is Haq he is the truth
I believe this because everything he says is true
Oh Mowlana I love you

Before I didn't understand just judged things
But now I feel because you've held my hand and showed me things
Mowlana you are my heart
Now nothing is ever hard
Because I have you and you've got hold of me
And now that I have felt you how can we ever part

Sometimes I wish I was with you
So I can see with my eyes the things you do
So I could hold your hands and kiss you
Kiss your hands and kiss your feet
And feel that spiritual energy
Given out from your heart beat

My blue eyed teacher
As he stands up what a perfect preacher
The man of Allah that is him
He's helped me swallow my ego and give in

Now I'm down on my knees
Begging for mercy
Ya Allah, Mowlana is all I need
I asked for guidance and you give it in the form of Mowlana
Now I'm trying to be his mureed
